GORA Impôts Inc. (hereinafter “GORA”, “we”, “our”) is committed to protecting the personal information of individuals who visit goraimpots.com and use its tax preparation and planning services.
This privacy policy complies with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25, R.S.Q., c. P-39.1) and its recent amendments that came into force in 2022 and 2023.
It applies to all collection, use, disclosure, and retention of personal information carried out by GORA Impôts Inc. in the course of its activities.

3. Personal Information Collected
3.1 On the goraimpots.com website
When you visit our website, we may automatically collect navigation data, including IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, browsing duration, and referral source. This data is collected for statistical purposes and to improve the website. It does not allow us to identify you directly.
3.2 Contact and appointment booking forms
If you use our online forms, the following information may be collected: first and last name, email address, phone number, and subject of the request. These forms are managed by Zoho, a third-party service provider. You may consult Zoho’s privacy policy at zoho.com/privacy.html.
3.3 Client portal
Access to the GORA Impôts Inc. client portal requires the creation of an account. The personal information required to provide our tax preparation services is collected directly through Zoho. This information is handled in strict compliance with the professional confidentiality obligations applicable to tax preparers.
4. Purposes of Collection
The personal information collected is used for the following purposes: to provide tax preparation and planning services, to respond to your information requests and appointment bookings, to manage the client relationship and track files, to improve the quality of our services and website, and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
We only collect information necessary for the stated purposes, in accordance with the principle of data minimization.
5. Disclosure to Third Parties
GORA Impôts Inc. does not sell, rent, or commercialize your personal information to third parties. We may disclose your information only to our service providers (including Zoho) to the extent necessary to deliver our services, to tax authorities (Canada Revenue Agency, Revenu Québec) in the course of providing our services and with your consent, or when required by law.
In the event of disclosure to a service provider located outside Quebec, we conduct a privacy impact assessment (PIA) in accordance with Law 25.
6. Retention of Information
Your personal information is retained for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, and in accordance with the legal requirements applicable to tax professionals, generally seven (7) years for tax files, as required by the CRA and Revenu Québec.
Upon expiry of the retention period, your information is securely destroyed or anonymized.
7. Security of Information
We implement appropriate administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or destruction. These measures include restricted access to information on a need-to-know basis, encrypted data transmission (HTTPS protocol), regular updates to our computer systems, and staff training on data protection practices.
8. Your Rights
Under Law 25, you have the following rights regarding your personal information: the right of access to your information, the right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete information, the right to erasure when retention is no longer justified, the right to portability in a structured technological format, and the right to withdraw consent at any time, subject to applicable legal obligations.

GORA Impôts Inc. reserves the right to amend this privacy policy at any time. Any amendments will be published on this page with a revised effective date. In the event of a material change, we will inform you by email or through a notice visible on our website.

If you believe your personal information has not been handled in accordance with Law 25 or this policy, you have the right to file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (CAI).
